#ThrowbackThursday: LeCrae Introduces "The Gospel" To BET Cypher

We wanted to kick off the inaugural #ThrowbackThursday by paying homeage to a trail blazer in his own right, LeCrae. On Tuesday night October 11, 2011, Houston's own, LeCrae introduced "The Gospel" to the Volume 3 installment of BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher and clearly defined the night to be a landmark for the "Christian Hip Hop Genre.

Lecrae’s was rostered in with the International Cypher Squad and got everyone's attention, which was made evident by the flood of activity on Twitter at that time. With this performance he made it clear that just because you are labled a "Christian" or "Gospel" rapper you can still be dope and kicked open the door for al those who follow.
