Tim Tebow Prays With Passengers After Man Suffers Medical Emergency On Flight
PHOENIX (CBSMiami) — Tim Tebow came to the aid of a family on board a flight while a man was suffering from a medical emergency.
The former Florida Gator quarterback was on a Delta Airlines flight Sunday going from Atlanta to Phoenix when someone on the plane started suffering from a critical medical emergency.
Richard Gotti posted on his Facebook the man was given CPR and shocks from an automated defibrillator. That’s when people began to pray.
“Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder!” Gotti wrote. “I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation.”
Gotti said the man got his pulse back after an hour when the plane landed in Phoenix.
Gotti’s Facebook post has been shared over 2,100 times as of Monday evening.
KGET-TV sports director Lina Washington said a Delta flight attendant told her the man suffered from a heart attack and Tebow transported his wife to the hospital after they landed.
Delta spokesman Brian Kruse confirmed to the Atlanta Journal Constitution that a medical emergency did take place on the flight.
“We can’t say enough about the Delta professionals who care for our customers every day and we are grateful to our customers who are so often quick to extend kindness and care to one another,” he said.
Tebow has yet to comment on the incident.
