Comedian Katt Williams Wins An Emmy

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held on Saturday, September 8th, and Black actors took home trophies for their performances over the past year in all four acting categories.

Katt Williams took home his first Emmy for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Alligator Man in the hit series Atlanta beating Sterling K. Brown, Donald Glover,Bryan Cranston, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Bill Hader.

Guest Actress in a Comedy Series went to Tiffany Haddish for hosting Saturday Night Live, while Samira Wiley won an Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series Emmy for her role in Handmaid’s Tale and Ron Cephus for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for This Is Us.
